Pobalscoil Iosolde students in ‘Architects in Schools’ online exhibition. awards 2020. 

Well done to the students of Ms. King’s class who participated in this project. They simulated a small ‘design
team’ so that each team could go on to design a small architectural intervention into or onto the

Well done to all the students who took part in the Pobal Scoil Iosolde Intercultural event in March 2020. It was a festival of colors and different flavors from all around the world. Thanks also to Ms. Finnegan for organising the event and to Ms. Kavanagh for taking great photos.

Free weekly courses for Parents 2020.

Monday + Thursday 10-11am – Gym Class in the Sports Hall. Tuesday 10-12 am Arts and Crafts in the games room. Wednesday 5th + 12th February there will be 2 workshops with Peter O’Leary psychotherapist. Week one the topic is Social Media and teens. In week two the topic is conflict resolution in teens.

Well done to Jamie Doherty – Pobalscoil FIFA Champion 2019

Finalists Josh Smith and Jamie Doherty battled it out in a tense game with Liverpool (Jamie Doherty) edging past Manchester City (Josh Smith) in extra time. Jamie went home with the grand prize of 50 euro. Well done. The FIFA competition was organised by the Art department as a fundraiser for educational trips abroad. Parents making Christmas wreaths with the HSCL teachers, Miss Eviston  and Miss Kirwan.

Pobal Scoil Iosolde awards ceremony 2019.

Well done to all the students who received awards last night. The Pobal Scoil band and choir provided the soundtrack to the event. A list of winners is to come. Meanwhile have a browse of all the photos of the night above (280+ photos – not everyone but nearly everyone.)

Pobal Scoil end of term Transition Year show was a great success last night. 

Despite a small technical hitch at the start, the night took off with stunning song performances and a series of talks and speeches. There was also film presentations and slideshows. The hall was also full of exhibits produced by the 4th years and a photography and art exhibition. Well done to Mr. Donnelly, all the 4th year teachers, and to all the students.

Latest news - 10th May 2019

 Pobal Scoil had some amazing results today 9th May at the Community and Comprehensive Track and Field Competition at Claremont Stadium in Navan.

Adam Adeleke 3rd place in the long jump and Andrew Da Silva was 2nd in the 100m.
 Halima Usman won gold in shot put and 3rd in the high jump. Joyce Bakanababo was 2nd in both the discus and the high jump.
 Max Deane was 2nd in the 200m against fifth and sixth years.
Well done to newcomer Orla Cooper for placing 5th in the 100m. Excellent performance from all students. Missing from the photo is Medivic Bakanababo and Amber Doyle (who was mistakenly cut off.

Pobal Scoil win 9 prizes at Sci-fest 2019! 

 Prizes were won by Amelia Andrews(3 prizes including  best overall junior(ISTA), and the Environment Award),Aine Measey (Chemistry Award and Category Award), Amjed Albaghdadi(category prize), Hayley Brady(Technology Award), Aishling Corcran(Category Award), and we won the school Royal Society of Chemistry Award.

PobalScoil are through to the FINALS of the Waltons Music for Schools Competition 2019!!!

Pobal Scoil are in the finals with their brilliant Queen Medley. We battle it out in the National Concert Hall on May 7th. We are the only School from Dublin to get through..Well done to everyone involved!!
