Wellbeing Walk Wednesdays
Starting Wednesday, 18 March 2026
Parents / guardians, join our new Wellbeing Walk on Wednesdays — weekly morning walks in local parkland at a comfortable pace.
This is a chance to connect with other parents and take care of your mental and physical health on Wednesday mornings. It’s open to all ages and fitness levels.

Promote School Attendance!
Parents / Guardians, you’re invited to design a poster as a family to promote regular school attendance.

Write the family name and the child’s class on the back of the poster
One entry per family

✨ 1st Year Attendance Drive – Let’s Make Every Day Count! ✨
From Monday, 23 February to Friday, 20 March, we are running a 4-Week Attendance Drive in the school for all 1st Year students.
The aim of this drive is to encourage students to attend school regularly and on time. Regular attendance supports learning, strengthens relationships, and builds confidence.
🏆 Awards and prizes will be presented to successful students at the end of the four weeks:
🥇 Gold Award – 100% Attendance
🥈 Silver Award – 90%–99% Attendance
🥉 Bronze Award – 80%–89% Attendance
Let’s work together to help our students build excellent attendance habits and make every school day count. We look forward to celebrating our 1st Years’ commitment and effort in the coming weeks! 👏
Introduction to Hairdressing course – February / March 2026
Parents / Guardians, interested in learning how to style hair with confidence? Join us for a fun, hands-on Introduction to Hairdressing course at Pobalscoil Iosolde, starting Thursday, 26 February 2026 (10am – 11.30am) for 4 weeks.
The course takes place in our brand new, fully equipped and spacious school hair salon, giving you the perfect environment to learn and practise new skills.
Guided by our expert tutor, Sandra Kelly, you’ll learn the basics of blow drying, curling, and upstyling, and discover how to create looks that flatter — all with tips and techniques straight from the salon.
Whether you’d like to style your own hair, help family and friends, or just try something new, this course will help you gain the skills and confidence to style like a professional.

Pobalscoil Iosolde is delighted to congratulate past student Artem Nechaicik on receiving the prestigious Trinity Entrance Exhibition Award on Thursday, 22 January 2026.
Artem achieved the highest Leaving Certificate points among all Trinity College Dublin entrants from Pobalscoil Iosolde this year, earning this award which celebrates outstanding academic excellence.
Ms. O’Brien, HSCL, represented Pobalscoil Iosolde at the celebration.
Artem is now a first-year Engineering student at Trinity College Dublin. The Principal Ms Delaney and all the staff at Pobalscoil Iosolde are proud of his achievement and wish him every success in his future studies.

Christmas Craft Workshop - December 2025
A wonderful festive atmosphere was enjoyed at Pobalscoil Iosolde on Wednesday, 10 December 2025, when a group of parents took part in a Christmas wreath-making workshop. With the expert guidance of Arts and Crafts tutor Martina Kirwan, parents created beautiful wreaths. Each wreath was unique, reflecting each parent’s individual taste and creativity. Parents were delighted with their finished pieces. We look forward to welcoming parents to more craft workshops planned for 2026.

Parents / guardians, Get into the Christmas spirit and enjoy a relaxing, creative morning at Pobalscoil Iosolde! Join us for a free Christmas craft workshop where you’ll create and decorate your own festive Christmas log with a candle for your Christmas table, as well as make a unique Christmas decoration to take home.
Guided by an experienced art tutor, Martina Kirwan, this festive workshop is a lovely chance to unwind, be creative, and enjoy some Christmas music and Christmas treats in a friendly, welcoming setting.
